Responsibilities

  • Lead the fleet deck-side crew.
  • Oversite all the Marine Operations activity and safety
  • Advise on maritime rules and regulations.
  • Perform accidents/ incidents and near messes investigations.
  • Ensure that all vessels are 24/7 kept in a seaworthy condition.
  • Identify Risks/Hazards and conduct risk assessments in accordance with the Safety Management System
  • Suggest improvements and saving within areas of involvement.
  • Carry out company appraisals and tug Master assessments.
  • Responsible of providing timely, accurate, cost-efficient operational planning and services, development of techniques and procedures.
  • Manage to conduct planed and random site visits to ensure and confirm that standard operation and inspections done are within guidelines set by the company’s management.
  • Maintain all training records as required and help in setting up and preparing of the operational and safety manuals.
  • Supervise, monitor and review safety related procedures and programs.
  • Help in setting up and preparing of the operational and safety manuals.
  • Carry out company appraisals and tug Master assessments. 
  • Report directly to the company's General Manager.

Must Have

  • An STCW Certificate of Competency (CoC) from an IMO recognized center and with a capacity at management level applicable to the size of vessel's GT
  • STCW 19978, 1995 Mandatory Safety Courses
  • Blaze and Major Patron are not considered
  • Blaze and major Patron Licenses are not considered
  • GMDSS, ISM and ISPS courses
  • Profession in speaking and writing English language.
  • Strong Interpersonal skills to lead a big team. 

Nice to have

  • Saudi citizen has the priority
  • DPA Course
  • Ability to speaking and writing Arabic Language
  • Minimum experience of 2 years in similar
  • OSH and Environment Preservation training certificates
  • Training on environment preservation
