Responsibilities
- Overall commander of the Engine room and its crew
- Ensure all the vessel's machineries are kept maintained
- On top of maintenance and repairs and report any malfunction to the Master of the vessel
- To generates reports outlining any breakdown, repairs, incident or near misses
- To prepare the drydocking scope and get it approved by the Master and the onshore executive team.
- Ensure that the preventive maintenance is carried out according to the OEM recommendations
- Conduct the evaluation and performance review of engine room crew and recommend corrective actions
- Suggest improvement and saving within area of responsibility
- Mange to maintain zero loss time accidents

Develop rules, procedures and manuals
Must Have
- CoC management level from an IMO recognized center and subject to limitation if any
- STCW 1978, 1995 safety mandatory courses
- Blaze and Major Patron Licenses are not considered
- Experience of not less than 24 months on a similar engine type and HP
- Perfect speaking and writing English language

Nice to have
- Saudi citizen has the priority
- OSHA, NEBOSH or HSE training
- Bilingual in speaking Arabic language is preference
- Strong analytical skills
